EHS Falls To Glenwood, WSS, Dieterich, S. Central, CHBC, C'land Win In Softball

The Hearts outhit Glenwood by a 6-4 count but committed three errors.
Madi Kirk had the lone extra base hit for the Hearts with a double. Bria Beals added an RBI. Sidney Donaldson had a single and an RBI.
Natalie Armstrong picked up the loss, going six innings allowing five runs on four hits, two walks and striking ou three.
Glenwood's S. Feld hit a home run and finished with three RBI. C. Feld added a double and an RBI.
At Chatham

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg came calling and claimed a 2-0 victory over Altamont as two National Trail Conference teams met Monday.
The Hatchets tallied single runs in the second and fifth.
WSS had four hits led by Erin Althoff with a double and Ellie Wittenberg with a single and an RBI.
Samantha Hayes threw a three-hitter with no walks while striking out 11.
Altamont was led by Grace Lemke with a double.
Lemke also had an excellent game on the mound as the tough-luck loser, allowing two runs on four hits, three walks and striking out 15.

Dieterich took a 3-0 lead in the third inning and went on for a 6-1 victory over Odin?Patoka/Sandoval Monday.
The Movin' Maroons had eight hits in the contest. Kinley Will led with two singles and an RBI while Callie Faller added a single and two RBI and Ella Kreke a single and an RBI.
Faller went four innings, allowing one run on one hit, two walks and striking out one for the win on the mound. Kreke came on to go the final three innings, giving up two hits.

South Central took a 2-0 opening inning lead but Teutopolis came back to move ahead with one in the third and three in the fourth. However, the Cougars put together a three-run fifth and a four-run sixth and claimed a 9-6 victory Monday.
The Cougars finished with 11 hits, four of those for extra bases. Taegan Webster led the way with two home runs and five RBI. Kyra Swift added a single and triple while Kaitlyn Swift had two singles. Abi Shuler added a double and an RBI.
Teutopolis was led by Chloe Hoene with three singles and two RBI, Olivia Wermert with a single, triple and an RBI and Malea Helmink with a single and two RBI. Summer Wall addd a single and an RBI.
Webster was the winning pitcher. She went all seven innings, allowing six runs on nine hits, two walks while striking out eight.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City put together 19 hits and finished with an 18-0 victory over Neoga in five innings Monday.
Neither team scored through the first two innings. CHBC then broke the game open with a seven-run third and a seven-run fourth.
Marissa Summers went three innings allowing no hits, five walks and striking out two for the win. Addison Wasson came on the final two innings allowing no hits, no walks and sriking out four.
Meanwhile, CHBC went on a hitting spree. Ruby Stuckemeyer had a single, two doubles and two RBI while Koda Colman had two singles, a triple and two RBI, Ryleigh Sarver two singles, a double and three RBI, Birgen Schlanser three singles and two RBI and Macee Rodman two singles and three RBI. Wasson added a single, double and an RBI and Lena Bowlin a double and two RBI.

Cumberland put together a seven-run opening inning and went on to down Heritage 14-1 in five innings Monday.
The Pirates banged out 12 hits while Mia Holsapple threw a one-hitter with two walks and three strikeouts.
Avery Donsbach led the hitting with three singles, a double and one RBI. Mia Holsapple and Norra Cross had a triple each. Cross had four RBI and Holsapple one. McKenzie Claybaugh and Ashton Tolen added two singles and an RBI each and Aubrey Himes a single and two RBI.
