Altamont Beats Flora In Friday Softball Action

ALTAMONT -- Altamont stepped out to a 3-0 first inning lead and went on for a 7-1 victory over Flora in a Friday high school softball contest.

The Indians tacked on two runs in the third and fifth innings. 

Sophia Pearcy had a single and double for the winners while Grace Lemke had two singles and two RBI. Madison Tonn added a single and two RBI and Laila Hankins had an RBI.

Lemke was the winning pitcher. She went all seven innings allowing one run on three hits, one walk and putting together a whopping 20 strikeouts.
