Newton, Teutopolis, Dieterich Win In Softball Action

The Eagles stepped out to a 4-0 opening inning lead then added on five in the second and two in the third.
Newton had seven hits in the contest led by Audrie Reich with a home run and three RBI, Lexie Grove with a double and an RBI, Lilly Kessler with a double and Allie Hermann with two singles and two RBI.
Avery Mulvey was the winning pitching, going two innings, allowing no runs on no hits, no walks while striking out three. Karly Deckard came on to throw the final three innings, allowing two hits, no walks and striking out four.
CHBC had single by Reyleigh Sarver and Lena Bowlin.

At Dieterich
Teutopolis took the early lead and never relented in an 11-7 victory over Dieterich Friday.
T-town players had their bats ready to go with a 16-hit attack.
The Wooden Shoes edged out to a 5-3 opening inning lead and led 7-5 after two and 10-6 after three. Dieterich tacked on another run in the fourth. T-town finished out with a run in the seventh.
Alyssa Tipton had a single, double, triple and drove in two runs for the Shoes while Kayleigh Zerrusen had two singles, a triple and two RBI. Chloe Hoene had a single and triple while Olivia Hemmen, Malea Helmink and Olivia Copple added two singles each.
Dieterich was led by Marli Michl with a triple and two RBI and Callie Faller with a triple.
Dieterich then claimed a victory and suffered a defeat Saturday.
Dieterich banged out a whopping 23 hits in taking a 16-8 win over Arcola.
Dieterich took a 4-2 lead in the second inning and led 10-4 after five. Dieterich then tallied two more in the sixth and four in the seventh.
Ella Kreke had ffour singles, a double and two RBI for the Maroons while Kinli Michl added three singles and two RBI. Sammi Goebel had a single, double and an RBI. E. Meinhart, Kinley Will and Callie Faller had two singles and two RBI each. Lucie Jansen and Cassidy Goebel added two singles and an RBI each. Ruby Westendorf added a single and an RBI.
Dieterich then fell to Central A&M, 8-5. Central A&M took a 5-3 lead in the third. Dieterich tied the score in the top of the fourth but Central A&M tallied a run in the bottom of the frame and two more in the sixth.
The Maroons again hit big with 13. Kreke had two singles, a triple and an RBI while Will aded a single and triple. Meinhart had two singles and two RBI and S. Goebel two singles.
Kreke was the winning pitcher, going the last 2.2 innings, allowing two runs on four hits.
