DIETERICH -- Dieterich hosted Effingham St. Anthony in junior high softball and edged the Bullpups, 8-7 Tuesday.

St. Anthony held a 7-3 lead going into the bottom of the sixth when Dieterich tallied three runs to pull within 7-.6. Dieterich then scored two runs in the bottom of the seventh to pull out the victory.

Allison Boerngen, Aliza Garner and Kensi Stortzum combined to throw a no-hitter for the winners. Boerngen went 3.2 innings allowing five runs with six walks and striking out seven. Garner went 1.2 innings, allowing one run on five walks and striking out four. Stortzum went 1.2 innings, allowing one run on four walks and striking out four.

Stortzum had two singles and two RBI while Faller had two singles and Mariah Muhs a single and two RBI.

At St. Elmo

Altamont pounded out 11 hits and downed St. Elmo/Brownstown by a 17-2 count in four innings Tuesday.

Altamont was aided by six SEB errors.

SEB held a 2-0 first inning lead before Altamont went on a 15-run second inning.

Payton Ort had a single, home run and three RBI while Adilyn Schnarre had two singles, a triple and three RBI. Jocelyn Pearcy had a triple. Reagan Kuesnter had a single and three RBI.

Speagle led St.Elmo/Brownstown with two singles and Holliday had a single and an RBI.
