Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg had nine hits and was aided by nine Effingham errors in an 8-2 victory Wednesday.

WSS took a 2-0 lead in the second inning but the Mustangs came back to knot the score in the third.

The Stars moved ahead with a four-run sixth and tacked on two more in the seventh.

Windsor/Stew-Stras was led in hitting by K. Koenig with a single, double and an RBI and E. Kreke with a single and an RBI.

Effingham had three hits led by K. Koenig with a single, double and an RBI.

K. Friese went the distance allowing two runs on three hits, five walks and striking out nine.

Effingham played Altamont after the WSS contest but the game was called after an inning and a half because of rain.

At Kinmundy

Maddie Peddicord threw a three-hitter as South Central blanked Salem Franklin Park 8-0 Wednesday.

Peddicord went all seven innings, striking out 14 batters and allowing only one walk.

South Central stepped out to a 3-0 first inning lead and never looked back.

Annie Ruholl had a single, double and an RBI while Claire Chasteen had a double and two RBI, Kennah Hiestand a triple, Baylee Brown a double and an RBI and Kyndi Bolen two singles.
