Neoga went eight innings before outlasting Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hamond by a 16-14 count in junior high softball competition Monday.

Hannah Probst went all eight innings, allowing 10 hits while striking out 13 for the win on the mound.

Probst also had three hits and drove in four runs while Chloe Frankie had one hit and three RBI. Those were the only hits for Neoga.

ALAH had 10 hits and committed six errors.

Neoga is now 1-1 on the season.

At Louisville

North Clay (Louisville) ended this game over Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City in the fourth inning, 12-0 Monday.

North Clay edged out to a 2-0 first inning lead then had a five-run second, a single run in the third and four in the fourth.

Pontious threw a no-hitter for the winners.

Romack led the way in hitting for North Clay with a single, double and four RBI. McGee and Compton had a single and two RBI each while Zink and Thompson had an RBI each.
