Effingham Flame Captures Doubleheader

The Effingham Flame 10 and under girls softball team captured a doubleheader over the Casey Chaos in action at Casey Thursday evening.

The Flame won 8-4 behind seven hits. Boone and Armstrong combined to pitch a one-hitter with six walks and five strikeouts. Koester had two singles and an RBI for the winners.

In the other contest, the Flame won 6-3, scoring two runs in the first and four in the second.

The Flame had four hits led by Allie with two singles and an RBI. Davis and Kronewitter combined for a three-hitter with seven walks and eight strikeouts.
