T-town, Altamont, Dieterich, Newton Win In Softball

The Wooden Shoes edged out to a 2-0 opening inning lead then tacked on a single run in the second and two more in the third. Windsor/Stew-Stras scored all four of its runs in the third.
Kaylee NIebrugge had a single, double and an RBI for the Shoes while Malea Helmink had a triple and two RBI and Emily Konkel a triple and an RBI. Danielle Sarchet added a single and an RBI and Erin Althoff two singles.
Courtney Gibson picked up the pitching win, going all seven innings, allowing four runs on eight hits, three walks while striking out 12.
Windsor/Stew-Stras was led by Sam Hayes and Ava Richards with two singles each, Katelyn VonBehrens with a single and two RBI and Kaylyn Carey and Alaira Friese with a single and an RBI each.

At Altamont
Altamont stepped out to a 2-0 first ining lead and went on for an 8-3 win over Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Thursday.
The Indians had three-run innings in the second and fourth.
Grace Lemke, Peyton Osteen and Adria Denton combined to throw a one-hitter. Lemke picked up the win going three inmings allowing no runs on no hits, two walks and seven strikeouts.
Altamont had five hits led by Sophia Pearcy with a double and an RBI, Lemke with a single and two RBI and Skylie Klein with two RBI. The Indians are now 2-1 in the National Trail Conference, 5-9 overall.
CHBC was led by Birgen Schlanser with a single.

At Hutsonville
Dieterich trailed Hutsonville 2-0 after two innings and 3-2 after three then broke loose with a five-run fifth to nab a 7-5 win Thursday.
The Movn' Maroons finished with nine hits in the contest led by Brittney Niemerg with a double, home run and two RBI. Ella Kreke and Lucie Jansen had two singles each. Callie Faller added a single and drove in two runs while Estella Meinhart had a single and an RBI and Sammie Goebel an RBI.
Niemerg also picked up the win on the mound, going all seven innings, allowing five runs on five hits, three walks and six strikeouts.

Newton trailed Marshall 2-1 until the bottom of the seventh. That's when the Eagles went on the offense, scoring two runs to claim a 3-2 victory Thursday.
The Eagles had five hits in the contest but committed three errors. Bailee Fritchl had a triple while Lexie Grove had a double and an RBI. Avery Mulvey added a single and an RBI.
Kayla Kocher was the winner on the mound, going all seven innings, allowing two runs on four hits, one walk and striking out 10.
