South Central competed in Class 1a and lost to Bloomington Corpus Christi, 3-0. Corpus Christi tallied single runs in the first, third and fourth innings.
Kampbell Niepagen threw a no-hitter against South Central, going all seven innings, allowing one while while striking out 18 batters.
South Central ends the season with a 19-6 record.
In other games, Hardin Calhoun defeated Mazon-Verona-Kinsman, 4-1; Paris Crestwood edged Peru Catholci, 3-2 and Brimfield downed Palmyra NOrthwestern, 6-1.
Crestwood then defeated Hardin Calhoun, 6-0 and Brimfiedl won voer Blomignton Corpus Christi, 3-1.
IN the championshp game, Brimfiedl defeated Paris Crestwood, 9-1 and in the third place contest, Bloomimgton Corpus Christi downed Hardin Calhoun, 8-0.
In the Class 2A State Tournament, Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg fell to Metamora, 8-0.
Metamora took a 1-0 lead in the second inning, then tacked on two in the third and finished out with five in the sixth.
WSS had five hits led by Kendra Hayes with two doubles, Colby McCormick with a triple and Jackie Vonderheide with a double.
The squad finished with a 25-4 record.
In other games, Downs Tri-Valley blanked Gillespie 16-0, Stronghurst West Central won over Pleasant pLains 3-0 and Braidwood Reed-Custer downed WEstvile, 12-4.
In the semifinals, Metamora won over oDowns Tri-Valley, 4-2 and Braidwood Reed-Custer defeated Stronghurst WEst Central 5-3.
In the third place game, STronhurst WEst Central beat Downs tri-Valley 10-2. In the championship, Braidwood REed-Custer beat Metamora 4-1.
