Effingham St. Anthony moved its junior high softball record to 3-1 on the season with a 12-0 victory over Neoga Wednesday.

The Bullpups moved ahead 3-0 in the first inning, tallied six in the second and three more in the third. The game ended in the fifth.

Emeline Wines threw a two-hitter allowing three walks while striking out 12.

Wines aided her cause offensively with two doubles and two RBI. Sadie Vineyard, Sophia Emmerich, Gianna Frisbie and Avery Henning had a single and drove in a run each.

At Stewardson

Effingham tallied three runs in the third and fifth and two in the seventh for an 8-1 victory over Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg Wednesday.

The Mustangs banged out 14 hits in the contest. T. Raddatz led the way with two singles and a double while A. Koester had a single, double and two RBI. K. Koenig had two doubles and an RBI, L. McBride a single, double and two RBI and C. Burgholzer a single and double.

L. McBride went the whole seven innings on the mound allowing one run on two hits, two walks while striking out six.

Wascher and Johnson each had a single for Windsor/Stew-Stras.

At Salem

South Central edged out to a 1-0 first inning lead, then tallied three in the second and one in the third for a 5-2 victory over Salem Wednesday.

South Central had six hits led by Maddie Peddicord with two singles and an RBI. The rest of the hits were five singles by five different players.

South Central is now 3-1 on the season and is back in action Friday against Neoga.
