Bulldogs, Eagles Nab Softball Victories

The Bulldogs and Maroons went through the first two innings without scoring. St. Anthony then broke loose with a six-run second and tallied six more in the fourth. Dieterich scored four in the bottom of the fourth. But the Bulldogs scored four more in the sixth to end the contest by the 10-run rule.
St. Anthony had nine hits in the contest led by Addie Wernsing with a single, double and three RBI and Kenzie Kabbes with two doubles and an RBI. Haley Niebrugge and Lucy Fearday had a single and two RBI each. Nora Gannaway and Laney Coffin had a single and an RBI each.
Fearday went three innings on the mound to pick up the win, allowing no runs on no hits, no walks while striking out four.
Dieterich finished with five hits led by Ruby Westendorf with a single and two RBI.

At Olney
Newton trailed Olney after the first inning but scored runs in three straight innings to pull out a 5-4 victory Monday.
The Eagles tallied a run to tie the score in the second then moved ahead with a run in the third and led 5-3 after four. Olney came back with a run in the sixth.
Newton had seven hits led by Ava Kessler with a double and three RBI, Addy O'Dell with two singles and an RBI and Camryn Martin with a double.
Kayla "Kocher" Kocher went all seven innings allowing four runs on nine hits, no walks and two strikeouts.

Mulberry Grove came calling and tallied an 11-1 five-inning victory over Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Monday.
The Aces held a 4-1 lead after three innings then tallied three in the fourth and ended the contest with five in the fifth.
CHBC had two hits in the contest led by Macee Rodman with a double and Birgen Schlanser with a single.
