WSS, S. Central, T-town, Neoga Pick Up Softball Wins

The Hatchets finished with 17 hits in the contest led by Natalie Hayes with three singles, a double and three RBI, Ella Kinkelaar with two singles, a triple and two RBI, Sam Hayes with two singles and two doubles, Alaira Friese with a single, double and an RBI and Karlie Bean and Gabby Vonderheide with a double and two RBI each. Maddy Pfeiffer added a single and an RBI.
Sam Hayes was the winner coming on in relief in the third inning and going 4.2 innings allowing five runs on five hits, two walks and two strikeouts.
Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg remains unbeaten with a 7-0 record.

South Central came calling and nabbed an 8-2 win over Dieterich Thursday.
The Cougars' Taegan Webster threw a six-hitter. T. Webster aided her own cause with a single, double and two RBI. Ella Watwood had a single, double and three RBI. Laney Webster added a triple and an RBI while Kaitlyn Swift and Lily Malone had two singles and an RBI each.
Dieterich was led by Kaitlyn Boerngen with a single and double, Brittney Niemerg and Courtney Brummer with a double each and Lucie Jansen with an RBI.
South Central improved to 1-1 in the National Trail Conference, 6-3 overall. The Cougars are back in action Saturday hosting a tournament with New Athens, Woodlawn and Cumberland.

Teutopolis finished with 11 hits and 11 runs in an 11-2 win over Altamont Thursday.
The Wooden Shoes stepped out to a 5-0 first inning lead, had a single run in the second and finished out with five in the sixth.
It was home run time for the Shoes as Courtney Gibson had a single and banged out two solo home runs for two RBI. Estella Mette had a home run and three RBI. Kaylee Niebrugge added a double and two RBI, Erin Althoff a double and Daisha Piedra two singles and two RBI. Danielle Sarchet and Emily Konkel had a single and an RBI each.
Gibson threw a five-hitter allowing two runs, three walks while striking out five.
Altamont was led by Adria Denton with two doubles and Bailey Teasley with a single and an RBI.

Neoga had a 13-run sixth inning and handed St. Elmo/Brownstown a 22-8 loss in seven innings Thursday.
SEB took a 2-0 first inning lead and led 3-0 in the third. SEB still held a 6-3 lead in the fifth. But Neoga broke loose with a 13-run sixth and finished out with six in the seventh.
Neoga had a whoppiong 31 hits in the contest led by Andrea Burcham with two singles, three doubles and an RBI, Audrey Kepp with three singles, a double, triple and four RBI, Trista Moore with four doubles, Klowee Conder with two singles, a double, triple and two RBI, Kadie Becker with two singles, two doubles and two RBI, Haylee Campbell with a single and two doubles and Avery Fearday with three singles and three RBI.
