Effingham St. Anthony tallied a 13-3 win over Taylorville in junior high softball action Tuesday in five innings.

The Bullpups banged out 13 hits in the contest and was also aided by nine errors.

LIv Hoene had two singles, a double and an RBI while Callie Emmerich had a single, triple and an RBI, Ellie LInk a single, double and an RBI, Gabby Kabbes a double and two RBI and Rylan Boggs a double and an RBI.

Mia Kinkelaar went all five innings, allowing three runs on five hits, five walks and two strikeouts. The Bullpups finish 4-1 in the National Trail Conference and are 10-5 overall.

Jasper County edged Effingham, 5-4 in Tuesday play.

Karly Deckard picked up the win on the mound. 

Jasper County improves to 15-3 on the season.

 

At Centralia

South Central fell to Centralia in Tuesday action by a 1-0 count. The winning run came in the bottom of the eighth.

Centralia had five hits. Coleman had two singles and drove in the winning run.

South Central had two hits, a triple by Zoey Feldhake and a single by Brianna Buchanan.

South Central drops to 14-4 and returns to play in a Teutopolis Regional quarterfinal today.

At Dieterich

Dieterich stepped out to a 2-0 first ininng lead then had an eight-run third for a 10-2 win over Neoga Tuesday.

Dieterich had four hits, all singles by C. Faller, K. Michl, K. Will and A. Boerngen. Michl, A. Uthell and Boerngen had an RBi each.

Boerngen was the winning pitcher, going four innings allowing two runs on two hits, two walks and striking out six.

Patoka claimed a 14-0 win over Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City in four innings Tuesday.

Patoka took a 9-0 opening inning lead and never looked back.
