DIETERICH -- Effingham St. Anthony tallied a 12-3 win over Dieterich in junior high softball competition Friday.

The Bullpups took a 4-0 first inning lead and never looked back. Mia Kinkelaar threw a six-hitter with one walk and 10 strikeouts.

Cora Hartmann had two singles and two RBI while Liv Hoene had two singles and an RBI and Callie Emmerich a single and two RBI.

Dieterich was led by C. Faller with two doubles, K. Michl with a single and double and A. Uthell with a single and an RBI.

At Dieterich

At Teutopolis

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg jumped on board in the first inning with a single. Teutopolis tied in the fifth but WSS came back with a run in the top of the seventh for a 2-1 win Friday.

Kendra Hayes had a single and double for the winners while Myra Friese had a triple and drove in a run. Cameron Carry had two singles..

T-town was led by Olivia Kemme with two singles and Allie Ruholl with an RBI.

The Wooden Shoes played in two games Saturday.

T-town fell to Effingham, 6-2. The Shoes held a 1-0 first inning lead but the Mustangs came back with a four-run third and tacked on single runs in the fourth and sixth for a 6-2 victory.

Effingham had eight hits.

Hits for T-town were three singles by Malea Helmink and an RBI and two singles by Alyssa Tipton.

T-town then fell to Flora Floyd Henson, 7-1.

Both teams had three hits. T-town was led by Tipton with a single and an RBI and singles by Kera Hartke and Kylie Borries.

At Kinmundy

South Central captured its own tournament Saturday.

South Central blanked Patoka in the opener, 12-0 in five innings.

Percilla Reid had three singles while Zoey Feldhake had a single, triple and three RBI, Jamalyn Logan two singles and two RBI, Brianna Buchanan three singles and an RBI and Maddie Peddicord two singles and two RBI.

In the second contest, Dieterich defeated Vandalia, 18-7. Dieterich held a 1-0 opening inning lead and went on to win this game in five innings, 18-7.

Dieterich had seven hits led by Uthell with a single, two doubles and four RBI, Michel with a single, double and three RBI and L. Meinhart,  A.Boerngen and C. Goebel with two RBI apiece.

Boerngen picked up the win on the mound going 3.2 innings allowing seven runs on five hits, four walks and four strikeouts.

Patoka then edged Vandalia, 10-9.

In the fourth contest, South Central defeated Dieterich, 11-0 in five innings.

South Central stepped out to a 7-0 opening inning lead and had two-run innings in the second and third.

Peddicord had two singles and two RBI while Thompson had a single and two RBI and Emily Rose and Logan a single and an RBI each. South Central is now 11-2.

Dieterich was led by Michl with a triple.

Brownstown/St. Elmo ran out to a 20-3 opening inning lead on Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City and finished with a 21-6 victory Friday.

BSE had eight hits. Speagle threw a four-hitter for the win on the mound.

CHBC had four hits led by Ryleigh Sarver with a double. Haley Doty had a single and an RBI and Becca Macklin an RBI.
