Teutopolis ran out to a 12-0 first inning lead and never looked back in an 18-1 win over Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City in junior high softball action Tuesday.

T-town's Mallory Bloemer threw a no-hitter through the three innings allowing two walks while striking out four.

The Wooden Shoes had 10 hits led by Brooke Thoele with two singles and two RBI, Malea Helmink with a double and two RBI and Katilyn Horn and Addison Hoene with a double and an RBI each. Adrienne Koester had a single and two RBI.

At Vandalia

Vandalia broke a 2-2 tie after the third inning with a four-run fourth and went on to beat Altamont, 8-5 in Tuesday action.

Altamont outhit Vandalia by a 7-2 count. Leading the way was Ella Nelson with a single, home run and two RBI. Ada Roberts, Kennedi Schultz, Justyce Higgs, Kaylee Lurkins and Avery Fleeharty had a single each. Lurkins drove in a run.

Both teams had five errors.

Cumberland stepped out to an 8-1 lead on Dieterich in Tuesday action and went on to end the game in the fifth inning, 15-2.

The winners had eight hits in the contest led by J. Carr with two singles and M. Holsapple and J. Miller with a single and two RBI each.

Holsapple was the winner on the mound, going two innings, allowing one run on one hit, no walks while striking out five.

Dieterich's two hits came from K. Michl and P. Higgons with a single each.

At Toledo

Jasper County handed Lawrenceville a 10-2 loss in Tuesday action.

Karly Deckard claimed the victory on the mound.

Jasper County is now 3-0 on the season and returns to action today at Robinson, a makeup game from Monday.
