The Hearts won the opener 12-1 in six innings.EHS opened with two runs in the second and led 6-1 after four. The squad ended the game with six runs in the sixth.
Emma Hardiek went on a home run binge with two and drove in four runs while Sawyer Althoff had a double, triple and three RBI, Jaidi Davis with a single and double, Riley Cunningham with a double and two RBI, Abby Cunningham with two singles and three RBI and Tori Budde with two singles.
Davis threw the six-hitter allowing one walk while striking out five.
In the second game, it was the Braves who took the win with a whopping 21-15 count.
The Braves led 16-14 after three innings then had a six-run sixth and a three-run seventh.
The two teams had a combined total of 31 hits in the contest.
Once again, the big gun was Hardiek with a double, home run and four RBI. Taylor Armstrong had three singles and two RBI, A. Cunningham a single, double and two RBI, Budde a double and an RBI, Altthoff a double, Grace Bushur a double and an RBI, Jacy Boatman a single, double and an RBI and Davis two singles and an RBI
The Hearts finished with a whopping eight errors.

Highland came calling and captured a 6-2 win over Effingham St. Anthony in Friday action as two Bulldog teams squared off.
Highland took a 2-0 first inning lead but St. Anthony tied in the fourth. Highland then won the contest in the seventh with four runs.
St. Anthony had four hits ied by Addie Wernsing with a single and two RBI and Cameron Rios with a single and an RBI. Lucy Fearday added an RBI.

Cumberland tallied an 11-1 win over Dieterich in six innings Friday.
The Pirates edged out to a 1-0 lead in the second then had a four-run fourth and sixth and a two-run fifth.
Cumberland had eight hits and was aided by six Dieterich errors. I. Martinez had a single, double and an RBI while C. Thorn had a double and two RBI and L. McGinnis a double.
Dieterich was led in hitting by Madilyn Brummer with a double and an RBI.
Cumberland's Martinez went six innings allowing one run on three hits, no walks and three strikeouts.

South Central swept a doubleheader over Wayne City/Cisne in Saturday play.
The Cougars won the opener 2-0, scoring single runs in the first and third behind four hits.
Kayli Swift had two singles and drove in two runs while Taegan Webster and Jaylyn Michel had a single each.
In the second contest, South Central pounded out 11 hits while Halle Smith threw a one-hitter.
The Cougars ended the game in the fifth via the 10-run rule. Megan Smith had two doubles and three RBI while Brooklyn Garrett had two singles and two RBI. Michel had two singles and an RBI, Halle Smith two RBI and Laney Webster a single, double and four RBI.
South Central improved to 18-4 on the season and returns to play today at Dieterich.

The Eagles pounded out 15 hits in the game and was aided by 11 CHBC errors.
Newton held a 2-1 lead after two innings then had a one-run fourth, a three-run fifth and finished the game via the 10-run rule with seven runs in the sixth.
Newton was led by A. Russell with two singles, a home run and one RBI, J. Parr single, double and an RBI, G. Michl a single, double and two RBI, L. Grove three singles and an RBI, E. Kidwell with two singles and two RBI, P. Kinder with two singles and an RBI and L. Kessler with a double.
