Bulldogs, Maroons, Eagles, Shoes Claim Softball Victories

The Bulldogs struck in the first inning, scoring nine runs and never looked back.
Seven of the 17 hits were for extra bases and they included six doubles and a home run.
Madeline Kibler was the leader with a double, home run and four RBI while Haley Niebrugge added a single, two doubles and three RBI. Cameron Rios ended the contest with two singles, a double and an RBI. Sydney Kibler had a single, double and two RBI and Addie Wernsing with a single, double and an RBI. Lucy Fearday finished out with three singles and an RBI. Grace Karolewicz had two singles and Anna Faber had an RBI.
Wernsing went three innings for the win, allowing one run on two hits.

Dieterich had its hitting shoes on in this one as the Movin' Maroons beat Clay City 15-1 in five innings Tuesday.
The Maroons finished with 17 hits led by Eva Meinhart with three singles, a double and two RBI, Cortney Brummer a single, two doubles and four RBI, Madilyn Brummer three singles and two RBI and Jadyn Pruemer a single, double and three RBI. Megan Bierman added a double and an RBI while Breanna Shull had a single and two RBI.
Kaitlyn Boerngen went five innings, allowing one run on three hits, three walks and striking out seven.

Courtney Gibson threw a three-hitter as Teutopolis handed Olney a 3-1 loss Tuesday.
Gibson went the distance, giving up one run on three hits, four walks while striking out seven.
The Wooden Shoes edged out to a 1-0 first inning lead then tacked on a run in the third and one in the seventh. Olney's lone run came in the sixth.
Daischa Piedra had two singles and drove in a run for the Shoes while Lexie Niebrugge had two singles. Erin Althoff and Tia Probst had a single and an RBI each.

Newton came callng and nabbed an 11-4 victory over Red Hill (Bridgeport) Tuesday, 11-4.
The Eagles banged out 17 hits in the contest including three home runs. K. Kocher had a single, double, home run and one RBI while A. Russell had two singles, a home run and two RBI and A. Kessler a single home run and two RBI. L. Grove and J. Parr finished with two singles each. E. Kidwell had a single and drove in two runs.
Kocher went five innings for the win on the mound, allowing three runs on four hits, four walks and four strikeouts.
