Effingham High School blasted St. Elmo/Brownstown 15-0 in five innings via the 10-run rule Friday.

The Hearts' Hope Collier and Ciera Kronewitter combined to pitch a no-hitter. Collier pitched two innings allowing one walk and six strikeouts while Kronewitter pitched two innings allowing no walks and striking out one.

Kelly Utz had two doubles and two RBI while Deedra Myers had two singles, two doubles and four RBI, Alexis Osborn a single, double and three RBI and Brittany Beals a single, two doubles and two RBI.

St. Anthony trailed South Central 3-1 after four innings then broke the game open with a five-run fifth and went on for a 7-3 victory.

The Bulldogs had 13 hits in the contest led by Makayla Walsh with a single, home run and three RBI, Morgan Gardewine with a single and double and Paige Koester with four singles. Meghan Woltman pitched an eight-hitter with one walk and six strikeouts.
