STRASBURG -- Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg edged Mattoon, 2-0 in junior high girls softball action Thursday.

WSS took a 1-0 opening inning lead and tallied another run in the third.

Samantha Hayes threw a one-hitter with one walk and 11 strikeouts.

Hayes, along with Kinley Quast had two singles each. Quast added two RBI.
