Junior High Softball Regionals -- Sept. 21

Martinsville pounded Oblong, 14-4 in opening round play of the Class 1A softball regional Monday.

Martinsville now travels to Dieterich Thursday while Neoga will play at Hutsonville/Palestine Thursday.

CLASS 2A REGIONAL

Clay City blanked Brownstown/St. Elmo, 7-0 in opening round play.

Clay City will travel to Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Thursday while Altamont will play at Teutopolis.

CLASS 2A REGIONAL

Cumberland saw its season come to a close with an 8-6 loss to Red Hill (Bridgeport) Monday.

Red Hill now travels to Casey-Westfield Thursday. The other contest will be Lawrenceville Parkview at Marshall.

CLASS 2A REGIONAL

Shelbyville Moulton trounced Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond Monday, 15-6.

Moulton will travel to Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg Thursday while Assumption Central A&M will head to Sullivan.

CLASS 3A REGIONAL

Mattoon easily won over Vandalia Monday, 12-1.

Mattoon now travels to Jasper County Thursday while Charleston heads to Effingham.
