Althoff went four innings, throwing a no-hitter with one walk and nine strikeouts. Beals came on to finish out the inning allowing one hit while striking out two.
Effingham jumped out to a 5-0 first inning lead then tallied two in the fourth and five in the fifth.
The Mustangs were led by Sidney Donaldson with a triple and two RBI, Beals a triple and two RBI, Hali Kreke with a single and triple, Althoff with two singles and three RBI, Kristen Armstrong with two singles and an RBI and Mya Harvey two singles and an RBI.

At St. Anthony
Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg downed Effingham St. Anthony, 9-2 in action Tuesday.
WSS took a 1-0 lead in the fourth. St. Anthony moved ahead 2-1 in the fifth but WSS tallied five in the sixth and three in the seventh.
WSS had eight hits led by Katelyn VonBehrens witha single and double, Samantha Hayes a double and Ellie Wittenberg and Brinlie Durbin with two singles each.
St. Anthony had four hits led by Rios with two singles.

At Teutopolis
Teutopolis trailed Vandalia until the third inning then tied the score. The Wooden Shoes scored two in the fifth and put the game away with six in the sixth for a 9-2 win Tuesday.
Vandalia held a 1-0 lead until T-town tied in the third. Vandalia moved ahead in the top of the fifth but the Shoes retaliated in the bottom of the frame and never looked back.
M. Helmink went all seven innings allowing four hits, eight walks and struck out seven.
C. Probst had a single and a triple while R. Kemme had a triple and two RBI and O. Kemme two singles and two RBI.
