LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. -- Bradley rallied from behind for a 6-3 victory over UC Davis with Pomona, Calif., native Vicki Zaluske belting her first career home run to highlight a three-run sixth for the Braves, who opened play at the Golden State Girls Softball Classic Friday afternoon.

Playing near her hometown, Zaluske went 1-for-2 with a pair of runs, her first career homer and two RBI to help Bradley (3-3 overall) rally from a 3-1 deficit for the win over UC Davis (4-2 overall).  Fellow Californian Kealia Wysocki (Thousand Oaks), went 2-for-2 with three RBI, driving in the game-tying run with a two-run single in the fifth. Allison Apke, a Teutopolis graduate, is in her senior season at Bradley.

San Jose State 11, Bradley 0

Mountain West Conference preseason favorite San Jose State held Bradley softball to just three hits and the Spartans used a four-run first to open the scoring in an eventual 11-0 victory over the Braves Friday afternoon at the Golden State Classic. Bradley (3-4 overall) had its first hit of the contest with Allison Apke leading off the top of the second with a single.  The Braves were unable to get anything going in the inning, however. San Jose State broke the game open with a seven-run fourth.

Bradley 12, Army 2

Junior Stacia Seeton and sophomore Samantha Smith both hit three-run homers, while senior Emma Jackson held Army to just three hits as the Braves topped the Golden Knights 12-2 in five innings to start the second day of play at the Golden State Classic Saturday.

Bradley (4-4 overall) collected 11 hits in the victory for the team’s third win in its last four outings.  Seeton hit her team-leading third homer of the year, while Smith went 1-for-3 with two runs scored and four driven in to help highlight the victory.

Allison Apke had a single, a walk and drove in a run. She also scored a run.

Jackson worked around five walks, giving up just three hits in the complete game victory as she improved to 3-2 on the year.

The Braves once again had to battle from behind with Army (5-3 overall) striking for a run in the top of the first.  A leadoff walk helped lead to an Ally Snelling RBI double as the Golden Knights grabbed an early 1-0 lead.

Bradley wouldn’t trail for long, however, with the Braves taking advantage of a two-out error that kept the bottom of the first alive.  Junior Taise Thompson drew a two-out walk and senior Kealia Wysocki reached on the two-out error to keep the inning going.  Seeton followed with a three-run homer, the 24th of her career, to put Bradley in front 3-1.

A six-run bottom of the third broke the game open for the Braves.  Seeton followed singles by Thompson and Wysocki with a walk to load the bases.  Senior Allison Apke drove home the first run of the frame with a RBI single to left.

Hawaii 8, Bradley 5

Bradley University struck for two runs in the first inning of college softball and led 5-3 in the sixth, but Hawaii scored five runs in the bottom half of the inning to rally for an 8-5 victory over the Braves Sunday afternoon to close out action at the Golden State Classic.  Senior Kealia Wysocki went 2-for-4 with three RBI and fellow senior Sydney Young scored twice in a 3-for-4 performance at the plate for Bradley, which evened its record at 5-5 with the loss.

Allison Apke had a single. The Braves return to action at the Charleston Classic, opening tournament play Thursday with a 4 p.m. (CST) game at College of Charleston.
