Effingham St. Anthony claimed a 5-3 win over Teutopolis in junior high softball action Monday.
The Bullpups tallied all five runs in the first inning. T-town had single runs in the first, fifth and seventh.
M. Kibler had a single, triple and two RBI for the winners while S. Kibler had a double and an RBI.
T-town was led by E. Althoff with a triple and S. Wall with two singles and an RBI.
S. Kibler was the winning pitcher, going all seven innings, allowing six hits, two walks and striking out seven.

At Effingham
Effingham edged Salem Franklin Park, 10-9 Monday. The score was tied at 5-5 after two innings. The Mustangs moved ahead with three runs in the third then led 9-5 until the sixth when Salem scored four runs to tie the score. Effingham scored the winning run in the bottom of the sixth.
The Mustangs had nine hits led by R. Boone with three singles and two RBI and S. Donaldson with a triple and two RBI.
S. Althoff went 5.2 innings allowing 11 hits, nine runs, three walks and striking out five. B. Beals came on to go 1.1 innings for the win, allowing no hits.

South Central came calling and claimed a 4-2 win over Altamont Monday.
South Central took a 2-1 third inning lead and led 4-2 after five. H. Shuler had two singles and an RBI for the winners. T. Webster threw a four-hitter with one walk and 13 strikeouts.
Altamont was led by Nelson with a single and triple and Lemke with a double.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City took a 3-1 opening inning lead and had a 10-run third. But, Vandalia came back with four in the second, five in the sixth and 10 in the seventh for a 20-15 victory.
CHBC had four hits led by Jaylyn Allen with a single, double and an RBI, Ruby Stuckemeyer with two singles and two RBI and Marissa Summer with two RBI.
CHBC dropped to 0-6 on the season.

Charleston edged out to a 2-1 opening inning lead but Jasper County tallied a run to tie in the third then had a two-run fifth for a 4-2 victory.
A. Mulvey threw a one-hitter on the mound allowing three walks and striking out three.
Mulvey had a double while A. O'Dell, B. Frichtl and A. Stanley had a single each.
