Junior High Softball Score -- Aug. 14

Effingham Junior High School edged Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg 3-2 in softball action Wednesday.

WSS took a 1-0 lead in the top of the second but the Mustangs tallied two in the bottom of the frame. WSS tied the score at 2-2 in the top of the fourth. The winning run came in the bottom of the fifth for EJHS.

Both teams had six hits. Effingham was led by R. Boone, M. Harvey and S. Donaldson with two singles each. Boone and M. Kirk drove in a run each.

WSS was led by Samantha Hayes with a single and double and Gabby Vonderheide with a double and an RBI.
