Softball Players Named All-Apollo Conference

Two Effingham players were named to the All-Apollo Conference First and Second Softball Teams.

Carsyn Fearday, a senior, was named to the First Team while Morgan Krouse, a junior, took Second Team honors.

All-Conference pitchers were Emily Price (Charleston, junior), Aubrey Eades (Mount Zion, junior) and Chayse Ramey (Mount Zion, junior).

Other players named to the First Team were Macey McElravy (Charleston, senior), Ramsey Armstrong (Charleston, junior), Reagan McGahey (Charleston, sophomore), Sydney Worth (Lincoln, junior), Aubrey Shore (Mahomet-Seymour, sophomore), Delainey Bryant (Mattoon, sophomore), Ally Bruner (Mount Zion, senior), Dayna Kennedy (Mount Zion, senior) and Kynzie Wrigley (Mount Zion, junior).

Named to the Second Team were Dee Campbell (Charleston, senior), Hannah Harpster (Charleston, sophomore), Grace McDowell (Mattoon, senior), Jordan Sapp (Mattoon, junior), Bailey Davis (Mount Zion, senior) and Emma Ewing (Mount Zion, junior).

Mount Zion won the team title with an 11-1 record followed by Charleston 9-3, Effingham 7-5, Mahomet-Seymour 7-5, Mattoon 5-7, Lincoln 3-9 and Taylorville 0-12.
