Here are junior high softball regional scores from Monday, Sept. 10th:

AT EFFINGHAM

Effingham 11, Vandalia 4--Courtney Beck went the distance, allowing four runs, three earned, on seven hits and two walks with 11 strikeouts. Beck also tripled and singled and drove in three runs. Also for Effingham: Volpi singled and walked; Kreke singled and drove in a run; Niebrugge walked twice and scored; Cunningham singled twice and drove in a run; Boone singled twice and walked; Frost tripled and drove in a run; Woomer singled and drove in a run; R. Cunningham singled and drove in a run; Charleston won the other semifinal game 11-2 over Paris Mayo, so it will be Effingham and Charleston for the AA Regional championship today at 4:30pm at the Effingham High School sports complex

AT KINMUNDY

St. Anthony 12, Clay City--Lucy Fearday pitched a five-hitter with no walks allowing two runs and fanning 11; Fearday also singled twice; also for St. Anthony: Rios doubled and singled and drove in a run; Faber walked and scored; M. Kibler singled and drove in a run; Niebrugge walked and scored and drove in a run; S. Kibler singled and walked twice and drove in a run; Coffin singled and drove in two runs; For Clay City: Craig drove in both runs

South Central 12, Teutopolis 11--This was a wild one; it was 5-2 South Central after one, 6-5 after two, 11-7 South Central after four, then Teutopolis scored four to tie the game in the top of the 7th and South Central scored in the bottom of the 7th to win the game; Brooklyn Garrett led off with a single then moved to second on a wild pitch; Brooke Cowger singled to center; on a great throw from center, Garrett, attempting to score, ended up in a rundown and eventually scored the winning run; Taegan Webster went the distance for the win, allowing 14 hits, but got the victory; for South Central: Jaylyn Michel tripled and singled and drove in two runs, Taegan Webster doubled and drove in a run, Sierra Arnold singled twice and drove in a run, Brooklyn Garrett singled twice and drove in a run, Brooke Cowger singled twice and drove in two runs, Hailey Shuler singled three times and drove in a run; South Central is now 15-0; For Teutopolis--Gibson gave up five runs on two hits and two walks with a strikeout, and Konkel allowed seven runs on seven hits and two walks while fanning five; at the plate for Teutopolis: Sarchet walked twice and scored, Althoff had two hits and a walk and drove in a run, Konkel had three hits and a walk and scored four times; Mette had three hits and drove in a run; Gibson had four hits and drove in five runs; Kremer had two hits; Wilkins drove in a run; Drees had a hit and scored a run; Helmink had three hits; Teutopolis closes out its season with a 13-6 record; South Central will play St. Anthony for the regional championship today a 4:30pm in Kinmundy

AT CASEY

Casey-Westfield beat Paris Crestwood 6-2, while Cumberland pounded Red Hill 12-3. Casey-Westfield will play Cumberland today at 4:30 p.m. for the regional championship in Casey

AT NOKOMIS

Windsor/Stew-Stras defeated Nokomis 10-4. Today, Raymond Lincolnwood will play Morrisonville at 4:30 p.m. in the other semifinal game. Windsor/Stew-Stras will play the winner Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. in Nokomis for the regional championship
