Effingham St. Anthony handed Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg a 5-2 loss in softball action Tuesday.

WSS took a 2-1 lead in the third inning but the Bullpups tallied three in the fourth and one in the fifth.

L. Fearday had three singles and three RBI for the Bullpups while H. Niebrugge added a triple, S. Kibler a double and T. Quandt two singles and an RBI.

WSS was led by G. Vonderheide with the lone hit, a single

L. Fearday went the distance, allowing one hit, four walks and striking out 11.

At Altamont

Teutopolis blanked Altamont 13-0 behind the no-hit pitching of Konkel Tuesday.

Konkel threw the no-hitter with three walks and 10 strikeouts.

The Wooden Shoes, meanwhile, banged out 13 hits led by Sarchet with a double and Gibson and Kremer with a single and two RBI each. Wilkins added two RBI.

T-town is now 9-5 on the season. Altamont drops to 3-9.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City took a 4-0 lead on Ramsey and then had to fight off a comeback to claim the 8-7 victory Tuesday.

CHBC had nine hits in the contest led by Mady Wojcik with a single, two doubles and an RBI and Gracie Heckert with two singles, a home run and three RBI.

At Kinmundy

South Central took the early lead then had to come from behind to edge Flora, 14-13 in Tuesday play.

South Central held a 11-6 lead going into the top of the seventh. Flora tallied seven runs to push ahead 13-11. However South Central came back in the bottom of the frame to score three runs and pull out the win.

Hailey Shuler led off the inning when she was hit by a pitch. Kaley Blomberg walked. With two outs, a passed ball allowed Shuler and Blomberg to move up to second and third. Taegan Webster singled in the two runners to tie the score and went to third on a wild pitch and passed balls. With two outs and a 3-2 count, Sierra Arnold hit a single to score Webster for the win.

Arnold had four singles and three RBI for the winners while Webster had three singles and three RBI. Brooke Cowger contributed two singles and three RBI.

South Central remained unbeaten at 10-0.
