FLORA -- Effingham St. Anthony Junior High School blanked Flora 4-0 in softball action Wednesday.
The Bullpups took a 1-0 first inning lead then had a three-run fifth. L. Fearday picked up the pitching win on a four-hitter with no walks and 11 strikeouts.
St. Anthony had seven hits led by M. Kibler with a single, double and three RBI. C. Rios added two singles.

At Altamont
Altamont edged out to a 6-4 opening inning lead over Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City and went on for the 21-17 victory Wednesday.
Altamont had 16 hits in the contest led by Becker with two singles, a double and two RBI, Fulk with two singles and three RBI, Tedrick with two singles, Denton with a single, triple and an RBI, Hassebrock with two singles and an RBI, Grunloh with two singles and three RBI, Lemke a triple and two RBI, White with a double and Klein with a double and an RBI.
CHBC was led by Gracie Heckert with two singles and a triple, Addison Wasson with two singles and an RBI and Katlyn Arnett with two singles and two RBI.
Altamont improves to 3-1 in the National Trail Conference, 3-7 overall. CHBC dropped to 1-2 in the conference, 2-8 overall.

At St. Elmo
Dieterich edged St. Elmo/Brownstown, 7-6 Thursday.
Dieterich led 3-0 after the first inning but SEB came back with two in the second and third to take a 4-3 lead. SEB pushed that lead to 5-3 in the sixth. But Dieterich tallied four in the top of the seventh to pull out the win.
Dieterich had five hits while SEB had six.
