Effingham St. Anthony Junior High School played host to Sullivan in softball action and fell to the visitors, 13-11 Tuesday.
Sullivan held an 8-3 lead after two innings and led 13-10 after three. The Bullpups tacked on a final run in the fifth.
St. Anthony outhit Sullivan 16-13. A. Faber had four singles and two RBI for the Bullpups while L. Fearday had three singles and an RBI, M. Kibler a single, double and an RBI, L. Coffin three singles and C. Rios two singles and an RBI.

At Altamont
Altamont had a seven-run third inning and defeated St. Elmo/Brownstown, 9-3 in action Tuesday.
Altamont broke a 1-1 tie with a seven-run third and tacked on a final run in the fifth.
Altamont had five hits in the contest led by Tedrick with three singles. Altamont improves to 2-7 on the season.
St. Elmo/Brownstown was led by Smith, Ireland and Claycomb with a single each.

Mulberry Grove edged out to a 4-3 opening inning lead and went on to beat Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City, 25-15.

South Central claimed an 8-6 win over Sandoval with a seven-run second inning Tuesday.
South Central's Taegan Webster threw a two-hitter with eight walks and 12 strikeouts.
Webster also led in hitting with a single, triple and three RBI. Brooklyn Garrett had two singles and two RBI.
South Central improves to 8-0.

Teutopolis took a 1-0 first inning lead but Jasper County came back with two in the third and four in the fourth to tally a 6-1 victory Tuesday.
Emily Konkel led the Shoes with a triple. She also picked up the pitching loss going all seven innings, allowing three hits, eight walks and striking out eight.
