Jr. Softball Results -- August 20

Effingham St. Anthony downed Teutopolis 8-4 in junior high softball action Monday.

St. Anthony took a 1-0 first inning lead then tacked on five in the third. The Shoes scored two in the fifth and two in the sixth but the Bullpups had a two-run top of the sixth.

A. Faber had a double and drove in two runs for St. Anthony while L. Fearday added two singles. M. Kibler had a single and two RBI.

T-town was led by Sarchet with two singles and an RBI.

L. Fearday went all seven innings allowing five hits, four walks and striking out 13.

South Central blanked Altamont 15-0 in action Monday at Webster Field.

Taegan Webster threw a one-hitter over the four innings, allowing one walk and striking out seven.

Jaylyn Michel had a home run and four RBI while Brooklyn Garrett had two singles, a double and four RBI. Allilson Lewis had three singles,  Rayna Hall added a double and an RBI and Sierra Arnold a double.

South Central is now 7-0 on the season.

Altamont's lone hit was a single by Cripe. Altamont drops to 1-7.
