Teutopolis Tournament Championship

TEUTOPOLIS -- Donnewald Budweiser/The Clinic Effingham/Affordable Home Improvements Inc/The Gutter Guys downed McMahon Meats, 3-1 to win the championship of the Teutopolis Men's Fastpitch Softball League Tournament Wednesday.

Josh Kreke picked up the pitching win, allowing one run on one hit over seven innings.

Anthony Jansen had a two RBI single in the top of the seventh with a full count and two outs for a 2-1 lead. Nick Lustig followed with an RBI single.

Terry Mette was the tough-luck loser, allowing three runs on five hits and had an RBI single at the plate.

The winners repeat as league tournament championship. The next action will be Friday in Altamont at the ASA Wooden Bat State Tournament at 7:30 p.m. against Grobie Flooring.
