Ping's Tavern, Koerner's Miller Lite Split Wins

Koerner's Miller Lite and Ping's Tavern split a women's fastpitch softball doubleheader Thursday.

Koerner's won the opener 3-0 behind a 10-hit attack. Miller tallied two in the first and one in the third.

Meyer had three singles while Flexter had a single, double and an RBI. May added two singles and picked up the pitching win with 10 strikeouts.

Ping's was led by Drees and Schumacher with a single each.

In the second game, Ping's was a 12-4 winner. Ping's took a 2-0 first inning lead and led 5-3 in the third then added on two more in the fourth and five in the fifth.

Ping's was led by Woltman with a single, double and triple while B. Kroeger and Waldorf had two singles each. Koerner's Miller Lite is now 5-1 on the season.
