Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg claimed a 12-2 win over Effingham in softball action Friday.
The Hatchets took a 1-0 lead in the second inning, tacked on another run in the sixth, then six in the fourth and single runs in the fifth and sixth. WSS finished out with two in the seventh.
The Hearts runs came in the sixth and seventh.
WSS had 13 hits in the contest led by Mackenzi Tabbert with a single, double and an RBI.
At Teutopolis
Teutopolis had seven hits and was aided by three Flora errors in a 10-1 win Friday.
Flora took a 1-0 first inning lead before T-town tied in the second and took a 2-1 lead in the third. The Shoes then had a four-run fourth and a four-run fifth.
Amber Dust was the winning pitcher on a three-hitter with one walk and seven strikeouts.
At Mulberry Grove
Mulberry Grove took a 4-1 first inning lead and never looked back in a 13-3 win over Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Friday.
Mulberry Grove had 11 hits. Both teams had three errors each.
CHBC was led by Madison Cherry with a double and two RBI.

CORL took a 7-0 first inning lead. Both teams had seven hits.
Altamont was led by Tinley Mette with a triple and an RBI and Shelbi Stone with two singles. The Indians drop to 1-3 on the season.
