Cumberland High School took a 1-0 first inning lead and ended the game against Effingham St. Anthony by the 10-run rule in the fifth, 14-2 Thursday.
The Pirates had 12 hits, five of those extra base hits. Madison Hendrix went on a hitting binge, banging out a single, double and two home runs. She finished with six RBI. Micaela Bradley had a single, home run and three RBI while Sadie Oakley had a double and Jazzmine Oakley two singles.
St. Anthony had five hits led by Shea Kinkelaar with two singles. Karlee Roepke drove in a run with a single while Jessica Coffin had an RBI.
Cumberland's Liberty Dunaway was the winning pitcher, going two innings, allowing one run, two hits, no walks and striking out three.

Teutopolis played host to Altamont and sent the Indians home with an 11-1 loss in six innings Thursday.
The Wooden Shoes improved to 2-2 on the season with the win while Altamont dropped to 1-2.
T-town broke the game open in the third with eight runs. The Shoes had nine hits led by Marianna Hemmen with a single and triple and Caroline Beckman with two singles and three RBI.
Alli Brumleve picked up the pitching win, going four innings, allowing no hits, two walks and striking out three.
Altamont was led by Tinley Mette with a single and an RBI and Mary Guse with a single.

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg's Calla Roney threw a no-hitter against Arthur-Lovington/Atwood-Hammond Thursday as the Hatchets won 11-0 in six innings.
Roney put down the first 16 batters she faced on strikeouts and finished with 17. She allowed only one walk. This was her second straight no-hitter.
WSS scored four runs in the first two innings and ended the game with a four-run sixth.
Hannah Hayes had a single, double and an RBI while Megan Schlechte and Davis had a double and an RBI each.

St. Elmo/Brownstown had four hits, all singles by Makenzie Parkison, Natalie Oberlink, Marlee Nolen and Ayvree Scholes.

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City fell to Okaw Valley, 17-3.
Okaw Valley edged out to a 1-0 lead in the second, tallied one in the third and four in the fourth to lead 6-1. CHBC pulled within 6-3 in the sixth but Okaw Valley then had an 11-run seventh.
Okaw Valley had 15 hits while CHBC had five errors.
CHBC had four hits led by Madison Cherry with a single, home run and an RBI. CHBC dropped to 1-1.
