Neoga Downs Dieterich in Softball Action

Neoga and Dieterich opened softball action with a 1-1 tie after the first inning but the Indians moved ahead 2-1 in the second and 3-1 in the top of the third. Dieterich came back with three runs in the bottom of the frame to lead 4-3.

Neoga then pushed across four runs in the fourth then tallied two in the fifth and four in the sixth for the 13-7 victory.

The Indians banged out 17 hit in the contest led by Kelsey Partlow with three singles, two doubles and four RBI. Makenzie Saunders added a single and double while Jaclyn Atwell, Molly Sheehan and Audrey Ramert had two singles each. Atwell finished with three RBI while Sheehan added two. Taylor Lee had a triple and drove in three runs.

Dieterich was led by Poe with four singles and an RBI, Niemerg with a single and double and Bloemer with a double and an RBI.

Titus picked up the pitching win allowing 10 hits, seven walks and striking out 11.
