Junior High Softball Regionals -- September 11

NEWTON -- Effingham Junior High School saw its season come to a close with a loss in the Class 2A Jasper County Softball Regional Monday.

Red Hill (Bridgeport) downed the Mustangs 11-8.

At Altamont

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg claimed the championship of the Class 1A Altamont Regional Monday.

Windsor/Stew-Stras downed South Central 4-1. WSS advances to the Teutopolis Sectional Saturday with an 18-6 record. The squad will now meet Casey-Westfield (18-2) at 11 a.m.

At Casey

Casey-Westfield ended Teutopolis' season in the Class 1A Casey-Westfield Regional Monday.

Caey-Westfield took the win 5-0. The winners advance to the Teutopolis Sectional Saturday against Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg at 11 a.m.
