Girls Prep Softball League Tourney -- July 17

Joe's Pizza & Pasta claimed the championship of the Girls Prep Softball League Tournament Monday evening at Hendelmeyer Park.

Joe's opened the evening by pounding Fonner Oral Surgery 23-10. Joe's trailed Fonner 10-5 after three innings then broke loose with an 18-run fourth.

Joe's had nine hits led by Makenna Roley with two singles, a double and six RBI. Bailey Mayhaus chipped in with two singles and three RBI.

Charly Kreke had the lone hit for Fonner with a single and an RBI.

In the championship game, Joe's continued to pound home runs, taking a 13-0 first inning lead and finishing out with a 24-0 win over Crossroads Bank for the title.

Joe's had 11 hits with Allyson Doedtman garnering a single, double and six RBI, Klowe Conder with a double, triple and four RBI, Reagan O'Dell with a double and Bailey Mayhaus and Abby Thoele with two singles and three RBI each.
