J&R Collision edged Walk's Auto Body 6-5 in Junior Babe Ruth Girls Softball League action Wednesday at Evergreen Hollow Park.
The two squads were tied at 2-2 in the first. Walk's then moved ahead with three runs in the third. J&R Collision came back with a run in the fourth and fifth to pull within 5-4 then tallied two in the sixth for the win.
Andrea Bierman had a double and two RBI for the winners while Kaitlyn Boerngen had three singles.
Walk's was led by Natalie Hayes, Natalie Lohman and Shelby Starwalt with a double each. Lohman added an RBI.
In the second game, Walk's Auto Body pounded home 14 runs for a 14-9 win over Effingham Express Care.
Walk's jumped out to a 9-1 lead in the second. Effingham Express scored four in the third to pull within 9-5 But Walk's scored five more in the fourth.
Walk's was led in hitting by Hannah Hayes with two singles and a grand slam, Natalie Hayes with two doubles, Natalie Lohman with a single, triple and an RBI and McKenna Kempwerth with three singles.
Kiara Hemrich had three singles and two RBI for Express Care while Emily Hall and Liz Day had two singles and two RBI each.
