Joe's Pizza & Pasta downed Fonner Oral Surgery 17-14 in the first game of Girls Prep Softball League action at Evergreen Hollow Park Thursday.

Joe's stepped out to a 9-0 opening inning lead and led 17-0 in the top of the second. But Fonner made a comeback bid with 14 runs in the second, only to fall short.

Klowee Conder threw a no-hitter. Emma Thompson had a double and drove in four runs for the winners.

In the second contest, Fonner Oral Surgery edged Crossroads Bank 9-8. Crossroads held an 8-3 lead going into the third but Fonner came back with six runs in the bottom of the frame for the victory.

Fonner had only one hit, a single by Audrey Gasser.

Jennifer Jamieson and Serenity Traxler had two singles each for Crossroads. Jamison had two RBI and Traxler one.

Minor League

Chesnut Family Music and Dieterich Bank played to a 6-6 tie in the opening game of the Girls Minor Softball League Thursday. The tie was due to the time limit.

Both teams had seven hits. Chesnut was led by Mia Kinkelaar with two singles and three RBI.

Dieterich Bank had seven singles by seven different players. Summer Darkow had a single and drove in two runs.

In the second game, REMAX tallied a 6-3 victory over Spectrum Screen Graphics.

REMAX had 13 hits led by Shelby Soltwedel and Sierra Soltwedel with two singles each. Sierra Soltwedel had three RBI and Shelby Soltwedel two.

Spectrum had four singles by four different players.
