EHS Softball Players Earn All-Apollo Conference Honors

Several Effingham High School softball players earned All-Apollo Conference honors.

Named to the First Team was senior Jenna Wright. Named to the Second Team was sophomore Carsyn Fearday.

Mattoon won the regular season championship with a 9-1 record followed by Charleston 8-2, Mount Zion 7-3, Effingham 3-7, Taylorville 2-8 and Salem 1-9.

All-Conference pitchers were Charleston's Macey McElravy (sophomore) and Madison Morecraft (freshman) and Cassi Dow (Mattoon).

Named to the First Team were Natalie Gordon (Charleston), Avery Jackson (Mattoon), Grace McDowell (Mattoon), Alli Davis (Mount Zion), Dayna Kennedy (Mount Zion), Maddie Morgan (Mount Zion), Delaney Sarff (Mount Zion) and Hannah Minton (Salem).

Named to the Second Team were Haleigh Misner (Charleston), Bella Coffey (Mattoon), Ivy Nichols (Mattoon), Ruby Brown (Mount Zion), Camryn Skundberg (Mount Zion), Olivia Chaplin (Salem) and Haley Shull (Taylorville).l
