Effingham Express Care claimed an 11-4 win over J&R Collision Center in Junior Girls League softball action Wednesday at Evergreen Hollow Park.
Express Care took a 4-0 first inning lead then tallied one in the second and six in the third. J&R Collision scored all four of its runs in the third.
Ali Day and Liz Day had a single and a double each for the winners. A. Day had four RBI and L. Day one RBI. Corynn Schoonover had two singles and three RBI. A. Day was the winning pitcher on a two-hitter.
Kimberly Brummer had a double and two RBI for J&R Collision.
In the second contest, J&R Collision came back to take a 13-10 win over Walk's Auto Body. Walk's held a 4-0 lead until the third when J&R tied the game. But Walk's took a 6-4 lead in the bottom of the frame. J&R Collision then had a nine-run fourth.
Madi Stortzum led the winners with two singles and an RBI.
Daelyn Dunston had three singles while Hannah Hayes had a home run and three RBI for Walk's. Natalie Hayes added two singles and three RBI.
