Windsor/Stew-Stras Claims Victory, Softball Roundup

Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg High School edged Shelbyville 4-3 in softball action Thursday.
The Hatchets edged out to a 1-0 first inning lead then tallied one more in the third. Shelbyville scored one in the fourth and tied the score in the top of the fifth. But WSS came back with a two-run bottom of the frame to pull ahead 4-2. Shelbyville tallied one final run in the seventh.
Roney picked up the pitching win on a four-hitter with five strikeouts.
Tabbert had two singles, a triple and an RBI while Everett had three singles and Cole two singles.

Odin came calling and picked up an 11-2 win over Dieterich Thursday.
The Eagles held a 2-0 lead in the third and had a six-run fifth and a two-run seventh.
Odin banged out 13 hits led by B. Leek with a single, three triples and three RBI, Reckmo with a single, triple and an RBI and Ellsworth with two singles.
Dieterich was led by Niemerg with a single and double.

Marshall blanked Cumberland 8-0 in action Thursday.
Marshall scored all eight runs in two innings with five in the third and three in the fourth.
Cumberland had five hits in the contest. McMechan, Hendrix, Dunaway and Sowers had a single each.
