Junior High Softball Regional Results -- Sept. 20

PATOKA -- Altamont Lutheran captured an 11-4 victory over Aviston in the SIJHSAA Region 7 Patoka Softball Regional Tuesday.

In the other two games, Central City won over Odin by forfeit and Patoka downed Selmaville 15-7.

Today's game features Highland St. Paul against Sandoval at 4:30 p.m.

Altamont Lutheran now faces the winner of the Highland St. Paul vs. Sandoval contest at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. In a Friday contest at 5:30, Central City meets Patoka.

The championship game is scheduled for Saturday at 10 a.m.

At Wayne City

South Central picked up a victory over host Wayne City in the SIJHSAA Region 8 Wayne City Regional Tuesday.

South Central stepped out to a 10-0 first inning lead and never looked back for the 12-1 victory.

Laney Webster hit an inside-the-park home run and had two RBI for the winners. Jordan Geiler had three singles while Megan Smith had two singles and an RBI, Jaylyn Michel two singles, Sierra Arnold two singles and two RBI and Sydnee Garrett a double and an RBI.

South Central is now 14-3 on the season and advances to the championship game Friday at 4:30 p.m. against either Edwards County (Albion) or Fairfield who play today at 4:30.
