KINMUNDY -- Field captured the South Central Booster Bash Junior High Softball Tournament at Webster Family Park Saturday.

In game one, South Central defeated Patoka 12-4. Sydnee Garrett pitched a two-hitter with three strikeouts.

Laney Webser had two singles, a double and two RBI while Kayli Swift had a single, triple and three RBI.

In game two, Field edged Altamont Lutheran 9-8. Field then downed Patoka 10-1.

South Central won over Altamont Lutheran 7-4. South Central broke a 1-1 tie in the fourth with a run then scored five more in the fifth.

S. Garrett pitched the three-hitter with eight strikeouts. Swift had three singles and Webster a double and an RBI.

Altamont Lutheran then defeated Patoka 9-7 for third place.

In the title contest, Field won over South Central 13-9. South Central held a 7-5 lead going into the fourth. Field moved ahead with a four-run fourth then tacked on two runs in the fifth and two in the sixth.

Webster led South Central with a single and triple. South Central is 7-2.
