Effingham St. Anthony stepped out to a 4-2 first inning lead and went on to bounce Teutopolis 15-5 in junior high softball action Monday.

The Bullpups had 10 hits in the contest led by Karolewicz with a single, double and two RBI, Boatman with a single, double and an RBI and Stephens with two singles and four RBI.

T-town was led by Runde with a double and an RBI, Hardiek with two singles and an RBI and Piedra with two singles.

At Teutopolis

At Salem

Effingham and Salem Franklin Park were tied at 1-1 in the first inning but the Mustangs broke loose, scoring nine runs in the second and went on to down the host squad 15-3 in five innings via the 10-run rule.

Effingham had 15 hits in the contest and Davis threw a one-hitter with seven walks and 10 strikeouts.

Davis had four singles while Armstrong had a single, triple and two RBI and Dasenbrock two singles and two RBI.

At Salem

At Kinmundy

Altamont came calling and host South Central sent the squad home with a 9-5 loss in action Monday.

The teams tallied a run each in the first but South Central started taking off with a three-run second.

Kayli Swift had a triple and an two RBI for the winners. Brooklyn Garrett hit an inside-the-park home run and had two RBI.

Runge led Altamont with two singles and two RBI.

South Central improves to 3-1 while Altamont drops to 1-8.
