Girls Minor, Prep League Softball -- July 7

REMAX claimed a 13-6 win over Chesnut Family Music in Girls Minor Softball League play at Evergreen Hollow Park Thursday.

REMAX took a 3-0 first inning lead and led 6-2 after two. Chesnut tied in the top of the third but REMAX came back in the bottom of the frame to score six runs.

Jerzi Bierman had two singles for the winners.

In the second contest, Heart & Home Realty defeated Spectrum Screen Graphics 8-4. Heart & Home had nine hits in the contest led by Anna Zaccari, Sydney Kibler and Maddie Kibler with two singles each.

Madison Kibler pitched the three-hitter.

In the final game, Dieterich Bank tallied three runs in the second and third and held off Martin's IGA Plus for a 6-4 win.

Prep League

Evergreen Mini Golf beat Crossroads Bank 14-13 in Prep League competition at Evergreen Park Thursday.

Evergreen edged out to a 3-1 first inning lead then had five-run innings in the second and third.

Abby Cunningham had two singles and a double for the winners while Breanna Dean and Riley Cunningham added two singles each.

Tori Budde led Crossroads with two singles.

In the second contest, Joe's Pizza & Pasta downed Fonner Oral Surgery 14-10.

Joe's took a 4-3 lead in the second then pushed that to 7-4 in the third and finished out with seven in the fourth.

Joe's had seven hits led by Britney Walls and Abby Cunningham with two singles and a double each. Alexis Stephens and Kaylee Bateman had a double each.

Grace Karolewicz had a single and double for Fonner while Kaylee Thompson added two singles.
