Girls Prep League Results -- June 9

Evergreen Mini Golf broke open a close game with an 11-run third for a 17-10 win over Joe's Pizza & Pasta in Girls Prep Softball League action Thursday.

Evergreen held a 6-3 lead until the third then scored 11 runs. Riley Cunningham picked up the one-hit pitching win.

Maria Potson had three singles while Abby Cunningham had two singles and a double for the winners.

Britney Walls had the lone hit, a single, for Joe's.

In the second contest, Fonner Oral Surgery pounded Crossroads Bank 21-15. Fonner held a 12-2 lead after two then had a seven-run third and a two-run fourth.

Taylor Quandt had a single and double for Fonner while Grace Karolewicz had two singles and a triple, Chloe Koester three singles, Daelyn Dunston two singles and Natalie Lohman two singles. Emily Hall chipped in with a double.

Crossroads was led by Meredith Schaefer and Megan Bierman with two singles each.
