Girls Minor, Prep Leagues -- June 6

Martin's IGA Plus tallied two runs in the third inning that proved to be the tying and winning runs in Girls Minor Softball League play Monday at Evergreen Hollow Park.

The score was tied at 2-2 after two innings before Martin's tallied two in the top of the fourth to beat Chesnut Family Music, 4-3.

Bria Beals pitched a two-hitter and had a double offensively. Olivia Raddatz also added a double.

Chesnut Family Music was led by Izzy Volpi with two doubles.

In the second contest, Dieterich Bank defeated Heartland & Home Realty 5-3.

Dieterich broke a 3-3 opening inning tie with a two-run second. Natalie Armstrong had two singles for the winners.

Sydney Kibler and Maddie Kibler had a single each for Heart & Home.

In the final game, REMAX jumped out to a 6-0 first inning lead and downed Spectrum Screen Graphics 7-2.

Madi Kirk pitched the victory while Laney Coffin garnered the save. Marissa Daniels had a double for the winners while Elena Niebrugge added two singles.

Abigail Thoele led Spectrum with a single and double.

Prep League

Crossroads Bank handed Joe's Pizza & Pasta a 12-9 loss in Girls Prep League competition Monday at Evergreen Hollow Park.

Joe's held a 9-4 lead after two innings but Crossroads came back with two in the third and six in the fourth.

Karma Moulton had a double for the winners while Meredith Schaefer, Haylee Printz and Megan Bierman had two singles each.

Alexis Stephens led Joe's with a single and double.

In the second contest, Fonner Oral Surgery outlasted Evergreen Mini Golf 15-12.

Grace Karolewicz pitched a no-hitter. Emily Hall led Fonner with two singles.

Fonner took a 5-0 first inning lead and led 15-0 in the top of the third. Evergreen then tallied 12 runs in the bottom of the third only to fall short.
