J&R Collision Center handed Effingham Express Care a 13-4 loss in Junior Girls Softball League action Wednesday at Evergreen Hollow Park.

J&R edged out to a 3-2 opening inning lead. Effingham Express tied the score in the second before J&R then tallied six runs in the third and never looked back.

Andrea Bierman led the winners with a single and double while Payton Sehy and MacKenzie Koester had two singles each.

McKenzie Wittenberg had two singles and Grace Hakman a double for Effingham Express.

In the second contest, J&R Collision claimed a 6-4 win over Walk's Auto Body.

Walk's held a 2-1 first inning lead before J&R tied in the third. Walk's moved ahead 4-2 in the fourth but J&R came back with four runs in the fifth to pull out the victory.

Emma Budde had a single and double for the winners while Bierman added two singles and MacKenzie Brewer a double.

Walk's had four singles, all by four different players.
