St. Elmo/Brownstown notched a quarterfinal win in the Class 1A St. Anthony softball regional, knocking off Dieterich 12-4.

Morgan Brown's 5-for-5 day, including a home run, paced the SEB offense, while Tessa Philpot went the distance in the pitcher's circle. Next up for the victors is a 4:30 matchup today with Stew-Stras/Windsor at Effingham.

Neoga continued it season with a regional win, besting Martinsville 11-0 in five innings.

Bayley Neece fanned nine and scattered four hits in the shutout, while Lexi Helmuth was 3-for-3 with two runs driven in. Neoga advances to face Casey-Westfield today at 4:30 p.m. as play continues in the Class 1A Casey-Westfield Regional.
